Sandpoint High School is a four-year public high school in Sandpoint, Idaho, which is larger than two secondary schools in Lake Pend Oreille School District; the other is Clark Fork in Class 1A. The color of the SHS school is red and white and the mascot is a bulldog.

Sandpoint competes in IHSAA Class 4A, the second highest classification in the state. It is a member of the Inland Empire League (4A), along with Lakeland (near Rathdrum) and Moscow, 135 miles (220 km) south.
SHS previously had competition with Coeur d'Alene and Lewiston; both are in IEL 5A.

Academic Decadelon
The Academic School's Decathlon program has been successful in state and national competition. The 2006 team placed first in the Idaho Academic Decathlon State Competition and traveled to San Antonio for the national finals, placing 17th overall and earning the title "Rookie of the Year" in the Second Division. In 2008, SHS won six out of nine individual medals overall and took second place in the state. In 2008, Sandpoint scored the highest team ever, with more than 43,000 points from a possible 60,000.
The 2009 team represented Idaho in the national online competition for high school and placed first in its entirety.
In 2010, a state competition hosted by Sandpoint, was first held outside the Boise area in its 26-year history. SHS beat Centennial of Boise in March. representing Idaho at the national championships in April in Omaha, Nebraska, and finishing fifth in the Second Division.
