Composition

"You Make Me Feel" written by Steve Mac and Ina Wroldsen and produced by Mac. The song found Gabe Saporta's song to find her soul mate.

"Obviously, some of my personal dramas are about being alone, and feeling like I'm looking for the world for the right person." "And one of the things we want for this song and this recording - despite having personal items in it - is becoming something that everyone can understand, and I think that the concept of people trying to find the right person is something universal. "

The song is written at the same time as maintaining 126 beat tempo per minute. The song is set in the main B-flat key.

Supported by simple taps and minimal synth settings, Saporta sings about finding the missing girl: "Girl, I've been around the world looking for you/I'm known for taking what I think is worth, and you're too late." Sabi, gives chorus and melodies of "la-la-la-la-la-la" that performed the song as Saporta sang "You made me feel..." but never quite finished the thought. According to Monica Herrera, a writer from Rolling Stone, the song has a riff that shows Pink's "Raise Your Glass".

Critical reception

The song received mixed reviews from most contemporary music critics. Scott Shetler of "Pop Crush" gave the song 8 out of 10 stars, and wrote that the song is "more earthy than some of the group's previous work, but it feels like a potential summer hit." Bill Lamb, author of About.com, gives 3 song stars from 5 songs, praises "interesting hooks" and "passionate and happy melodies," but criticizes the track, calling it a "tasteless hit" and "faceless" pop factory,. He concludes the review, stating that "it must be interesting, but everything is a bit bland and empty as well." The Idolator staff agreed, writing that "On the one hand, it is a completely serviceable dance line, and the Sabi vocals are much stronger here than in the weak rap, which is thrashing in" (Drop Dead) Beautiful " on the other hand, we have heard of this hook synth previously from other artists and frankly, it sounds like Cobra Starship might try too hard to follow the trend of Euro dance while completely leaving their old voice. "Monica Herrera writes for Rolling Stone that" Saporta dropped the pickup line is weak, but the guest diva Sabi calls itself 'the worst baby in the atmosphere,' and right. "

A positive review came from the Alternative Press editor, Aubrey Welbers, who wrote that "an interesting and countless hit is a bona fide hour for lonely people looking for romance on the dance floor." In most reviews of the album, including Allmusic and Entertainment Weekly reviews, the song was chosen as one of the album's best songs. Megan Rozell of Blogcritics gave the song a positive review, writing that the song "makes it possible to sing lyrics together, beautiful words from Sabi, and pop sounds that allow listeners to let go and dance."
