Histori
Southeastern High School opened its doors on January 2, 1917. The school was built in a semi-rural area that has recently become part of the city of Detroit. When the school was built, it was so removed from downtown Detroit that it was considered out in the woods, which was the origin of the school's nickname, "Jungaleers".
Southeast High School registration after World War II was among the highest in any state high school in the state. Even recently in 2008, the enrollment was 2,428. In 2011-2012, school enrollment is 790.
The school district recently changed the official name of the school from the Southeast High School to Southeast Technology and Law College, because the curriculum has a strong emphasis on both of these areas.

During the first 31 years of the MHSAA children's state championship basketball tournament, PSL did not participate in the tournament, and decided they would have their own tournaments among PSL high schools instead. Since 1962, and until 2015, PSL has won fourteen MHSAA state championships in Class A, four in Class B, one in Class C, and three in Class D, for a total of twenty-two state basketball championships.
In 2011 and 2013, Jungaleers is a finalist of the boys' state basketball championship MHSAA.
