Features - visual design and reverse engineering

Legend:

• E-R visual/design scheme: the ability to draw entity relationship diagrams for databases. If lost, the following two features will also be lost
• Reverse engineering - the ability to generate ER diagrams from the database, complete with foreign key relationships
  • Yes - support additional backside engineering, maintain user modifications to the diagram and import only changes from the database
  • Some - can only reverse engineer entire databases at once and remove any user modifications on the diagram (can not "refresh" the diagram to match the database)
• Advanced engineering - the ability to update database schema with changes made to the entity and its relationship through the visual designer of the ER diagrams
